The DRY LAND™ Deliquescent Skid Mounted Air Dryer System (DLAD-250-360) by Pirate Brand® is a complete moisture removal system designed for mobile and stationary abrasive blasting operations. Wet compressed air can cause clogged blast pots, inconsistent flow, and premature rusting of blasted surfaces. This system ensures dry, clean air delivery, improving blasting performance and substrate quality.

Each unit features a Polyarmor®-lined desiccant vessel, aftercooler, coalescing pre-filter, and air motor oil discharge trap, providing an all-in-one, self-contained air drying solution. The system requires no electricity, making it ideal for field use and remote blasting operations.

How It Works:
The Pirate Brand® Dry Land™ single-tower deliquescent air dryer operates by removing moisture through cooling and desiccant absorption:

1. Compression & Cooling: Warm compressed air first enters the aftercooler, where it cools to within 10–15°F of ambient temperature, condensing out most of the water vapor.

2. Filtration: The cooled air passes through a coalescing filter that removes oil and solid contaminants.

3. Drying Process: Air enters the desiccant tank, where gravity separates remaining water. The air flows upward through deliquescent desiccant tablets that absorb residual moisture.

4. Drain Cycle: The desiccant dissolves gradually as it absorbs moisture, forming a liquid that settles at the bottom of the vessel. This solution must be drained periodically via the manual valve.
