Electric Control Handle – Ball & Strap Style w/ Ball and Strap Assembly
Part Number: 002160
Weight: 0.65 lbs
The 002160 Electric Control Handle features a ball-and-strap safety design engineered for industrial abrasive blasting operations. This system ensures that if the operator drops the blast hose, the safety ball—strapped securely to the operator’s wrist—automatically disengages the control handle, stopping the machine immediately. This provides a critical safety layer and helps prevent accidental discharge.
This handle assembly includes the ball and strap, making it a complete safety control solution for electric remote blasting systems.
Important: When using steel abrasives, this control handle must be used with the sealed connector PB-31131 for safe operation.

Proper Remote Control Attachment Instructions
To ensure safe and reliable operation:
-
Attach the electric control handle to the blast hose near the nozzle using hose clamps or heavy-duty wire ties.
-
Create a strain-relief loop using the twin-line/control cord:
-
The cord should come 6" away from the blast hose,
-
Run 6" parallel to the hose,
-
Then return 6" back to the hose.
-
-
Tape the loop to the blast hose using duct tape:
-
Wrap duct tape twice around the twin-line/control cord,
-
Then wrap around the blast hose to secure the attachment.
-
This strain-relief section is required only for the first connection near the control handle.
-
-
Starting from the nozzle end of the hose, tape the twin-line/control cord to the blast hose every 3 feet using duct tape.
These instructions ensure proper sandblasting remote control attachment.
