Bullard BCX Communication System – Push-to-Talk (PTT) Switch for BCX Hands-Free Radio Units
Part Number: PTTSWITCH
Weight: 0.30 lbs
The Bullard PTTSWITCH is the OEM Push-to-Talk accessory for the Bullard BCX Wireless Communication System. Designed for users who prefer controlled microphone activation, the PTTSWITCH allows operators to speak only when the button is pressed—preventing constant open-mic communication during blasting, coating, painting, confined space, and industrial operations.
While optional, the PTTSWITCH is recommended for high-noise or multi-user environments where precise communication control is required. When not used, BCX radios operate in full-duplex mode, and all microphones remain active at all times.

BCX System Safety Feature: Lone Worker Protection (LWP)
BCX radios (COMBTMD) include a built-in motion sensor that detects user immobility.
How it works:
-
Pre-Alert: If the user does not move, the headset issues a warning beep.
-
Alert: If immobility continues, the radio sends a vocal alert to all other radios (e.g., “APPI Com 2 immobile”).
-
Feature is active only when the radio is linked to at least one other BCX radio.
This adds a critical level of safety for blasting, confined space, and isolated-worker operations.
